 Benefits of a Ricoh MFP/Copier

The brand’s photocopiers are available worldwide so it is easy to get support and maintenance should the user experience some machine problems. Ricoh has a comprehensive range of both black and white and colour MFPs so any organization can surely find one that fits their requirements.

Most models are compact so there is a lesser need for space in the office. They have fast warm up times and print speeds. They are packed with features but still remain cost-efficient. Even a small business can afford to own a Ricoh multifunction printer. Most machines also come with fax, print and scan aside from the regular copy feature. These machines also have energy-saving features so they are environment-friendly.

Ricoh also offers a security solution to some of their MFPs through Enhanced Locked Print. It is a cost-effective solution that stores, releases and manages confidential document output. You use a centralized printing strategy so you reduce operating costs without having to sacrifice security.  The FlexRelease option enables securely stored print jobs on one MFP to be accessed and released from another MFP on the network without needing an external software or hardware. The optional card reader offers additional easy usage for environments using proximity card systems by providing automated release of jobs stored on the MFP.

Price Range

The black and white machines start their prices at around £400 or so depending on the supplier. The commercial colour photocopiers on the other hand can go as much as £15,000. They are widely available in the UK for outright purchase, rent or lease.

Dealers and Maintenance

Finding the best supplier is crucial for your business. Look for the 3 best in your area. Ask how many engineers they have for service and maintenance issues. Are they in-house or third party engineers? In-house engineers can be easily deployed so you get less down time. They usually arrive in your office within a few hours after calling.

The supplier should prove that they have competent engineers. You can almost always be sure with an authorized dealer because they have engineers trained by Ricoh who have the expertise and skill to tinker with your machine. They can also access the equipment’s official software and parts. They can fix your machine faster than other general knowledge engineers.

Ask about feedback from other customers. You can also read reviews online. Before signing anything, review the maintenance contract. Your machine will eventually break down and this will make the bulk of your cost in the future. You better be prepared for it by having a comprehensive coverage. Annual maintenance, repairs and parts replacements are just some of the topics that your contract covers.
